"I Remember..."
Archived Letters from Past Masters & Members of Black Hawk Lodge
The Black Hawk Lodge archive has compiled a collection of letters from it's members, originating with our lodge's Masonic Founders in 1855 through the present day. These letters are genuine treasures as they record the reminiscences of our members and Past Masters. The common theme is fraternity, and the authors speak of the love and esteem they share for their lodge and their brethren.
The first series of letters written in 1904 are "of regret" at not being able to attend the lodge 50th anniversary celebration. The second series written in 1955 are recollections by Past Masters of their year in the East. The third series of letters written in 2011 are from selected members sharing their thoughts and reflections on Masonry today.
